The Yuan Art Museum in Tianjin hosted a group exhibition in cooperation with the Austrian Cultural Forum in Beijing on November 19, 2021: 10 Austrian and 14 Chinese Artists.
With the theme "Convergence.Consonance" this group exhibition refers to a mindset of respect and the ability to adapt towards what is currently available and feasible. The collaboration with the artists is more intense than ever and enriching for both sides. The greatest thanks go to the Yuan Art Museum Wuqing, which despite all the complications has tackled such a large project with full energy.
In times of limited travel, so-called "remote" exhibitions have become common, in which artists are unable to be on site for exhibition setup and opening, and use remote guidance to oversee the making and hanging of their works via Zoom and Wechat. This process refers not only to the 10 Austrian Artists in this exhibition, but also to 4 other Chinese positions who live in Europe and have to follow the current project from a distance as well.
